I've been thinking

Tonight like the last few nights I've sat up with my little baby girl thinking about my life and rocking her to sleep. In my mind I was going through everything from my experiences as a little kid, up til now in my life and I was thinking about how some of my choices for good or for bad really landed me where I am today. . . I guess I bring this subject up because I find it hard (sometimes) to think about the past even though I may not have any real regrets its hard to think back because you get the bad with the good. But I also realize at the same time that the past makes you who you are, and all those lessons learned made me who I am and for that I am grateful, its just not always easy to think about. I literally thank the lord every night that even though I made allot of dumb mistakes and I was foolish that my bad decisions and good decisions = out to me having the life I have today. This song by Carrie Underwood spells out everything I've been trying to say tonight. I love this song, its called "lessons Learned" you can find it on my play list at the bottom of this page if you are interested in listening. I highly recommend it.

I agree with you. It is hard to look back and see our dumb choices mixed up with the good ones. It's uncomfortable to face that reality. But all our experiences do shape our lives, and then we, in turn, influence the lives of those around us. Just look at how powerful we truly are!

I really like your thoughtfulness tonight. Thanks for posting! Love you! :)
